Audréanne Filion

Audréanne Filion is a Montreal-based cellist, composer, and improviser. Active in contemporary and experimental music, she has premiered works by numerous composers from the Canadian scene, including Sarah Davachi, Martin Arnold, Keiko Devaux, Myriam Bleau, and Simon Martin. She is a member of Ensemble Éclat, Quatuor Mémoire, Ensemble Tesse, and Ensemble SuperMusique, and collaborates with various collectives such as No Hay Banda, collectif9, and Projections Libérantes.

Her solo project for cello and electronics combines improvisation, real-time processing, and composition, exploring the hybridization of classical and experimental, ambient, and noise aesthetics. She has performed at festivals and series including Gaudeamus Music Week (Netherlands), Festival CHIII (Brazil), Darmstädter Ferienkurse (Germany), FMC (Chicoutimi), Osheaga, Semaine du Neuf, M/NM, Totem Électrique, Codes d’accès, Interzone Editions, and many others.

Also active in experimental pop, she has collaborated with Everly Lux, Xela Edna, YlangYlang, Jessica Moss, and Erika Angell.

Audréanne studied at Conservatoire de musique de Montréal under Denis Brott and Elizabeth Dolin for cello, and Louis Dufort and Martin Bédard for electroacoustic composition.

Live Set - Cello and electronics (30’’)

Audréanne presents a sonic experience based on excerpts from her forthcoming album. Driven by a search for beauty within harmonies and dissonances, this nostalgic work explores timbral phenomena, the richness of the cello, and the textures of drone. Between each piece, improvisations on cello and feedback create a continuous flow.

Florence-Delphine Roux

Florence-Delphine Roux is a digital and sound artist originally from Québec City and based in Tiohtià:ke / Mooniyang / Montreal. Her work explores the intersection of art, science, and technology, with a particular focus on the radio medium. Her practice takes the form of listening experiences, immersive sound installations, performances, video art, and radio works.

“Rooted in a sound-based practice that draws in particular on material gathered through field recordings, largely captured outdoors, Florence-Delphine Roux’s work engages in a reflection on the possibility of playing with textures that are not perceptible in a retinal sense, notably electromagnetic fields, thereby contributing to a subtle disruption of reality.”

Chronicle of Ether (30”)

Chronicle of Ether is a performance that seeks to materialize the invisible. It brings to light the omnipresent yet imperceptible radiophonic and electromagnetic landscape of our environment. Sculptural antennas capture sometimes distant frequencies, revealing a third space shaped by hidden sounds and communications. The artist disrupts these frequencies in a reciprocal, interactive dialogue between space, the antennas, the body, and electronic craftsmanship.
